Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Admissions Support Counselor - Texas Student Experience to assist students, families and counselors through the admissions and enrollment process on the UT Austin campus. This full-time role may involve evenings and weekends to support events and deadlines.

You will guide applicants, troubleshoot applications, coordinate with departments, and provide high-quality customer service across phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of direct customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to explain information clearly.
• Ability to meet deadlines; flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Explain admissions process and assist with incomplete applications.
• Guide students, parents and counselors through event registration system.
• Interact with departments to assist with financial aid and orientation.
• Provide customer service via phone, email, virtually and in person.
• Follow up until issue resolved or escalated.
• Cross-training and support enrollment operations.
• Other related functions as assigned.
