Job summary

The University of South Florida in Tampa is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Customer Care Assistant to support the Office of Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid. You will staff the front desk or call center, assist prospective and enrolled students, and help guide applicants through the admissions process.

This role involves handling documents, mailing information, and coordinating with multiple offices.

Qualifications

• General office skills; able to lift 25 pounds.
• Mon–Fri 8:00–5:00 with possible extra daytime hours.

Responsibilities

• Staff front desk or Call Center and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist Domestic recruitment teams; interact with Admission recruiters/advisors and student prospects.
• Explain and guide students/parents through the application process and steps to enroll.
• Make outgoing calls to prospective, applied and admitted students.
• Assist Data Management with scanning, imaging, and verification of materials.
• Assist Mail Center with mailing information; prepare packets, fold letters, envelopes, etc.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
