Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks an Admissions Support Counselor to assist students, counselors and families through admissions and enrollment. You will explain the process, help with registrations and coordinate resources across campus.

Responsibilities include guiding users, providing multi-channel support, and maintaining up-to-date records while collaborating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) + 5 years experience in direct customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain information.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Explain admissions process and assist with incomplete applications.
• Guide students through the admissions event registration system.
• Troubleshoot needs and counsel students on resources such as financial aid and orientation.
• Provide customer service to students, parents, counselors and other stakeholders via phone, email, virtually and in person.
• Follow procedures to resolve issues related to college search, admission and enrollment.
• Follow up timely until issues are resolved or escalated.
