Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking an Advisor to lead extracurricular activities across the district, helping students develop leadership skills and self-confidence through diverse programs. You will organize after-school activities, ensure student safety, manage supplies and budgets, coordinate transportation, and collaborate with families and staff to support learning beyond the classroom.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and supervises a series of regularly scheduled extracurricular activities after school.
• Attends activity meetings and supervises students on field trips and in-school events.
• Ensures the safety of the students and maintains responsibility for equipment and facilities.
• Prepares the activity budget, orders necessary supplies and equipment and maintains records of expenses and revenues.
• Oversees the development, production and distribution of any product produced by the student(s).
• Arranges for transportation or scheduling of competition related to this activity.
• Evaluates the program annually and makes recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Director of Activities.
