Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools seeks a Community Education/Enrichment Coach to lead youth and adults in after-school and community activities across the district. You will create engaging experiences, mentor participants, and help coordinate enrichment offerings that support diverse learners.

The role emphasizes inclusive environments, collaboration with Adult Services and Youth Development Coordinator, and adherence to safety protocols for on-site activities within the district.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience: Prefer at least one year of experience caring for children
• Follow policies on confidentiality and mandated reporting
• Ability to mediate, problem solve, and redirect students in a positive way: motivate, support, serve as a positive role model and be energetic, creative, active, and friendly

Responsibilities

• Implement out of school time enrichment programs for youth, adult, and/or adults with disabilities
• Work with Adult Services and/or Youth Development Coordinator to obtain supplies, materials, and equipment needed for activities
• Cultivate an inclusive, safe, supportive, and positive environment for participants
• Communicate resources needed to make reasonable accommodations for participants with exceptionalities and special considerations to Adult Services and/or Youth Development Coordinator
• Assist with promoting programs within the community to encourage registration
• Follow all district safety protocols for in-person, on-site activities
• Ensure that district space is returned to its original condition once activities are complete
