Job summary

Ithaca College is seeking a Senior Student Accounts Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Student Accounts area within the Office of Student Financial Services. You will manage billing, collection, and payment processing for tuition, fees, and related charges, and counsel students and families on account obligations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and minimum of 3 years relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience maintaining and monitoring financial accounts.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the assessment, billing and collection of tuition, fees, and other student charges.
• Develop and implement the billing process for all undergraduate, graduate, extramural, and special student populations.
• Manage the fee assessment and review process and ensure appropriate charges are applied.
• Process summer housing and meals charges, health insurance waivers, and holds on accounts.
• Generate, review, and annually file Form 1098-T tuition statements with the IRS.
• Oversee the creation of detail codes and ensure proper use of account numbers.
• Provide excellent customer service and financial guidance to students and families.
• Collaborate with campus offices to train and oversee charges on student accounts.
