Job summary

Howard University School of Law seeks an Accommodations Coordinator to support the Director of Student Affairs and the broader Student Affairs team. You will manage daily communications, review documentation, determine reasonable accommodations, and implement accommodations to foster inclusive learning environments.

The role requires exceptional communication, discretion, and a commitment to equity for all students. Collaboration with administrators, faculty, and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in law-related field, higher education administration or other student programs.
• Experience developing and executing innovative and high-quality programming.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and manage a budget and resources.
• Ability to establish priorities and deadlines while delivering quality customer service.
• Leadership, delegation, training experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a student caseload, assessing eligibility for accommodations and implementing reasonable accommodations.
• Advise students on ADA accommodations process via Office of Student Accessibility.
• Coordinate testing room reservations and manage a proctored testing center.
• Monitor and track accommodation approvals; generate follow-up communications.
• Operate information systems to track and report accommodation workflows.
• Support the Office of Student Affairs and other duties as assigned.
