Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking an experienced civil/structural professional for public works transportation projects in Los Angeles. You will read plans, interpret specs, coordinate on-site activities, and enforce contract compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

The role requires a strong background in Caltrans procedures, 10+ years in public works, and a PE/EIT pathway; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience on public works or transportation projects.
• 5+ years of experience in structural work.
• Caltrans Bridge Construction procedures knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
• Valid California driver’s license and ability to work on active construction sites.
• EIT certification or on track for PE license.
• Experience with cast-in-place post-tensioned box girder bridge construction.
• Caltrans Structure Rep training or familiarity with METS processes.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Experience with alternate delivery methods such as CMGC.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Monitor, coordinate, and enforce construction compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Identify non‑compliant work and take corrective action to bring it into compliance.
• Report critical issues and potential delays to the supervisor.
• Document project progress and track construction activities and resources.
• Respond to RFIs and ensure changes are noted on final plans.
• Facilitate safety meetings and coordinate with contractors and agencies.
