Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in California to supervise the structures portion of roadway and bridge projects in line with CALTRANS standards. You will read plans, verify conformance, and manage change orders on site with the Resident Engineer and contractors.

You should have an EIT, 5+ years in highway inspection, and 2 years as a lead worker within structure construction, plus CALTRANS project experience.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
EIT certification required.
Minimum 5 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
Minimum 2 years lead worker experience in structure construction/inspection.
CALTRANS roadway/bridge construction project experience required.
Minimum 3 years CALTRANS practices & construction manuals experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise the structural portion of roadway projects on site with the Resident Engineer.
Verify conformance to Caltrans standards and project documentation.
Read/interpert plans, shop drawings, permits and contract docs.
Generate/review contract change orders and RFIs for structure items.
Coordinate quality testing and liaise with clients/owners and contractors.
Onsite presence with a mix of day and night shifts; collaborative team work.
