Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior field engineer to provide on-site construction leadership for transportation infrastructure projects in Los Angeles. You will oversee earthwork, bridges, retaining walls, and other structural elements, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule alignment.

With 10–15 years of experience, you will review means and methods, coordinate with design and contract requirements, and document field progress while maintaining rigorous records and client communication.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in construction engineering or construction management.
• 10-15 years of experience on transportation infrastructure projects with significant structures components (bridges, grade separations, retaining walls).
• 10-15 years of experience in construction sequencing, means and methods, and contract documents.
• 10-15 years of experience with construction documentation systems and standard CM tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction, including earthwork, bridges, and structural elements.
• Review construction means and methods for compliance with plans, specs, safety requirements, and constructability.
• Understand how daily field activities impact critical path schedule, cost, risk, traffic handling, and public impacts.
• Identify potential downstream impacts early and elevate issues to the RE/CM team.
• Support coordination between design intent, construction execution, and contract requirements; assist with RFIs, submittals, field directives, change orders.
• Support quantity tracking, progress verification, and pay estimate documentation; maintain field records and daily reports.
