Job summary

Robert Morris University is seeking a Literacy Tutor, Structured Literacy to work with K-12 students referred to the Center for reading and writing support. You will screen students, plan and deliver individualized reading and writing instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with parents.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Literacy, Reading Specialist certification required.
• PA teaching certification required.
• Training in Structured Literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Screen incoming K-12 clients to determine instructional needs.
• Plan and deliver individualized reading and writing instruction based on assessment data.
• Monitor student progress and administer post-assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders.
• Keep accurate attendance, intervention and time sheet records.
• Collaborate with the Center's Coordinator and other tutors.
• Attend debriefing meetings and professional development sessions.
