Job summary

Region 9 Public School District seeks a Structured Literacy Tutor to deliver 12 hours of instruction aligned to IEP goals for the student.

The tutor collaborates with the school, family, and SPED Case Manager to monitor progress, document activities, and prepare narrative reports for PPT meetings. Position is ASAP through 5/28/2027, compensation $77 per hour. The role requires CT certification and data reporting to support reading outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Structured Literacy Tutor will provide 12 hours of Structured Literacy instruction to the student associated with IEP goals and objectives. Tutors work with the school, student, and the student's family to coordinate and provide instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct specialized structured literacy instruction aligned to reading goals and objectives
• Collects data and monitors progress
• Communicate progress and share data with the student's SPED Case Manager
• Create narrative report to share with the PPT team
• Documents activities completed during each session

Time Requirement:

• 12 total hours to conclude by end of May 2027

Pay:

$77/hour

Paid every 2 weeks (following payroll schedule) upon submission of total hours.
