Job summary

DSI Tech is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead the technical design of cabling solutions from initial customer conversation and on-site survey through solution design, BOM, and Statement of Work, with transition to the implementation team.

The role is customer-facing, requiring strong knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, fiber types, MDF/IDF design, and cabling standards. This is a full-time, in-office position in Ashburn, VA with local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Current BICSI RCDD certification required.
• Experience designing structured cabling for data centers and mission-critical environments.
• Experience with manufacturers and ecosystems such as CommScope, Panduit, Corning, Belden, Leviton, Siemon.
• Experience supporting federal government, state/local government, commercial enterprise or data center customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design of cabling solutions from customer conversation to on-site survey.
• Develop accurate Bills of Materials and technical inputs for pricing.
• Prepare technical Statements of Work defining scope, responsibilities, and deliverables.
• Review drawings, RFPs, specifications, and construction docs to identify requirements and risks.
• Provide technical support during installation when field conditions require design clarification or modification.
