DSI Tech in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead the technical design of cabling solutions from customer discovery and on-site surveys through solution design, BOM, SOW, and proposal support.

You will work with Outside Sales and engineering to develop repeatable standards, perform site surveys, create BOMs, and assist with implementation handoffs, with a focus on Cat6/Cat6A, fiber, MDF/IDF design, and compliance with BICSI and ANSI/TIA

Formación

• 7+ years designing structured cabling and telecom infra.
• Strong Cat6/Cat6A and fiber knowledge.
• Experience with MDF/IDF design and rooms.
• On-site survey experience translating field conditions.
• Developing detailed BOM and cost estimates.
• Experience with drawings, cable schedules, and docs.
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Familiar with BICSI standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design of structured cabling solutions from survey to BOM and SOW.
• Prepare technical documentation and drawings using AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Visio.
• Develop Bills of Materials and project cost estimates.
• Review specifications and participate in scope clarification meetings.
• Handoff designs to delivery teams and provide field support as needed.
• Develop repeatable engineering standards and templates.
