Job summary

DSI Tech is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead the technical design of cabling solutions from initial customer conversations and on-site surveys through BOM, SOW, proposal support, and transition to the implementation team.

The ideal candidate will conduct on-site surveys, design copper/fiber systems (Cat6/Cat6A, single/ multimode fiber), and develop accurate BOMs and technical documentation for complex data center and enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years designing and supporting structured cabling projects.
• Strong knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, single-mode and multimode fiber.
• Experience developing Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.
• Familiar with NEC requirements and local codes.
• Experience with data centers, campuses, and enterprise environments.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio for drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design from customer conversation to implementation handoff.
• Create accurate BOMs, wiring layouts, and SOWs.
• Conduct on-site surveys and assess existing cabling infrastructure.
• Develop and review drawings, floor plans, and pathway diagrams.
• Present designs to customers and explain technical trade-offs.
• Support sales and delivery teams with technically compliant solutions.
