Job summary

IES is seeking a Project Lead - Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator and supervisor for multiple Crew Leads on voice and data installation projects. The role ensures project completion per safety and quality requirements while maintaining staff efficiency and productivity on site.

The candidate will coordinate with the Project Manager, complete project paperwork, perform quality checks, and serve as the primary on-site contact with customers.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Must possess a minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site coordinator and supervisor of several Crew Leads - Structured Cabling on voice and data installation projects.
• Ensure job completion per quality and safety requirements while maintaining staff efficiency.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity, budget adherence, and project completion.
• Complete all project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
• Perform quality checks, coordinate moves, and prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact and attend facility/construction meetings when required.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
