Job summary

IES Communications, LLC is seeking a Crew Lead - Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. The role ensures job completion per quality and safety standards while maintaining staff efficiency.

Responsibilities include directing major project crews, coordinating with the Project Manager, completing all project paperwork, and performing on-site customer communications.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum of six (6) months supervisory/managerial experience.
• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
• Must read blueprints and project documents including specs and quality requirements.
• Must know universal communications color codes.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity and budget compliance.
• Complete all project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders, etc.).
• Perform quality checks and coordinate moves and cross connects; prepare red-lined drawings.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact; attend meetings when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
