Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Certified Structural Steel Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) and Coatings (AMPP / NACE / SSPC Level II) to join our field team based in New Mexico, Utah, or Arizona. The role involves travel across the US and occasionally to Canada, with long-term assignment potential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 9 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
NACE / AMPP or SSPC Coatings Certification Level II
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification

Responsibilities

In a QA role, perform structural steel fabrication inspections in the shop and field.
Conduct welding inspection, NDT, coatings, and review material test reports against contract drawings.
Monitor surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, paint kit mixing, and application for code compliance.
Communicate with owners, fabricators, engineers, NDT technicians, and coating professionals.
Prepare daily shop/field reports in digital format.
Participate in safety meetings and uphold project safety standards.
