Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Certified Structural Steel Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) and Coatings Inspector with AMPP/NACE/SSPC Level II credentials. The role involves field and shop inspections across NM, UT, or AZ, with travel across the US and occasionally to Canada.

Experience in structural steel and bridge inspections is preferred. Immediate contract-to-long-term opportunities available. Ideal candidates will have endurance for rigorous field conditions, be capable of traveling, and possess

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; relevant construction inspection experience preferred.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• NACE/AMPP or SSPC Coatings Level II certification required.
• Must be willing to travel, including overnight stays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others in field and shop environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA inspections for structural steel fabrication in shop and field.
• Monitor surface prep, cleanliness, paint kit mixing, and coating applications.
• Document daily shop/field reports and ensure compliance with specs.
• Coordinate with owners, fabricators, engineers, NDT techs, and coating pros.
