Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
• NACE / AMPP or SSPC Coatings Certification Level II.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification.
• Must be willing to travel, including overnight stays when out of town.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA role in structural steel fabrication shop and field inspections.
• Conduct welding inspection, NDT, coatings, and material test reports per contract drawings.
• Monitor surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, and coating applications.
• Communicate with owners, fabricators, engineers, NDT technicians, and coating professionals.
• Write daily shop/field reports in digital format.
• Participate in safety meetings.
