Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Renewables team in Plano, TX. You will design foundations and retaining walls for wind, solar and storage facilities, and prepare technical reports and drawings.

The role requires a PE license, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in ASCE loading calculations. Strong communication and collaboration with Project Managers are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; SE registration a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Familiar with ASCE loading calculations.
• Foundation design experience including shallow spread footings, slab-on-grade, and deep foundations.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• MS Office proficiency; RISA and AutoCAD experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the structural design of foundations and retaining walls for utility scale wind, battery storage and solar facilities.
• Prepares or directs the structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
• Assist Project Managers in the drafting and design of utility scale solar projects.
• Day to day support and input to Project Managers.
