Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Renewables team in Plano, Texas. This full-time position focuses on structural design for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage facilities, including foundations and retaining walls.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, PE registration, 3+ years of experience, and familiarity with ASCE load calculations; proficiency in MS Office and structural software like RISA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer required; SE registration a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Familiar with ASCE loading calculations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the structural design of foundations and retaining walls for utility scale wind, battery storage and solar facilities.
• Prepares or directs the structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
• Assist Project Managers in the drafting and design of utility scale solar projects.
• Day to day support and input to Project Managers.
