Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking an Engineer to support the structural design process across a variety of projects, working under senior guidance. You’ll perform structural analysis, aid in design development, and support project delivery from concept through construction.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with technical design, site observations, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams while building a solid foundation for professional growth at DeSimone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program; 1+ years of relevant coursework in structural analysis and design.
• Master of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis using software tools such as Revit and Rhino.
• Model building foundation and superstructure systems; design structural elements.
• Prepare structural drawings, technical reports, and documentation.
• Conduct field observations and inspections under senior guidance.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain records of design calculations and work products.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, clients, and management to ensure project success.
• Support project planning and internal operations including timesheets and safety compliance.
