Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering seeks an engineer to contribute to structural design across diverse projects, from mid to high-rise buildings. You’ll perform structural analysis, assist in design development, and support project delivery from concept through construction, under senior guidance.

The role offers hands-on experience with design software (Revit, Rhino), field observations, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Internship with a structural engineering firm on mid- to high-rise projects.
• Coursework in concrete, steel, wood and masonry design.
• Must pass basic engineering skills test.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis using Revit and Rhino.
• Model foundation and superstructure systems and design elements.
• Prepare structural drawings, reports, and documentation.
• Conduct field observations and inspections under senior guidance.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for accuracy.
• Maintain clear records of design calculations and work products.
• Communicate with teammates, clients, and management for project success.
• Support project planning and internal operations, including timesheets and safety compliance.
