GRAEF in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Structural Practice Team Leader to guide a high-performing group of engineers on a wide range of projects. The role involves direct client interaction, leading design teams, and mentoring staff.

Ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with structural emphasis, MN PE license, 8+ years in structural design of commercial buildings, and experience in business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
• MN PE license is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design of commercial buildings.
• Experience in business development activities such as marketing, proposals and client development.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of interacting with clients and staff.
• Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and responsibility of projects, pursuits, and staff within the Structural discipline of our Minneapolis office.
• Project/Team oversight including setting priorities, objectives, and team staffing.
• Serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team.
• Business development activities such as marketing, proposals and client development.
• Client management and contract development.
• Professional society involvement.
