Job summary

Tradesmen International is actively seeking an experienced Structural Flux Core Welder for night shifts in El Mirage, AZ. The role involves welding structural steel, reading drawings, and adhering to WPS requirements on data center projects.

Candidates should have strong FCAW experience, be safety-minded, and able to meet production standards. Per diem is available for travelers 60+ miles from site; per diem is $120.

Qualifications

• Previous structural steel welding experience required.
• Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred.
• Experience working from WPS requirements.
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications preferred.
• Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged.
• Ability to meet welding quality and production standards.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies.
• Weld light and heavy structural steel in a fabrication shop environment.
• Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects.
• Perform FCAW in accordance with project specifications.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols.
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards.
• Inspect welds and perform repairs as needed while maintaining production.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Job Scope:

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies

• Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects
• Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) in accordance with project specifications
• Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairsMaintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by project needs
