Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Vancouver, WA. Over 10-12 weeks, you will assist a team of engineers with analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems in buildings and other structures.

This paid internship provides real project work and mentoring to support project goals. You will work on cross-functional coordination, contribute to Pacific Northwest resilience projects, and gain exposure to seismic rehabilitation and utility equipment

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting and ability to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects per code and IMEG standards.
• Research resources for projects and assist with client relations and project notebooks.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other partners.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions; monitor progress.
