Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week Summer program in the Vancouver, WA area. You will assist the structural team with design, analysis, and documentation for building projects, gaining hands-on experience under experienced engineers.

Qualifications

Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
Strong interest in design consulting
Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
Skilled in AutoCAD and/or BIM software
Clear oral and written communication abilities

Responsibilities

Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards
Research and locate resources for projects
Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record files
Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier partners
Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress
Review project documents for accuracy prior to final checks
Prepare and issue addendum information
Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement
