Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering New Graduate in Vancouver, WA or the Portland metro area. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one.

You will work closely with experienced engineers to support structural systems analysis, design, and development of documents, contributing to projects across the Pacific Northwest with emphasis on seismic retrofit and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required
• Knowledge of design techniques for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures
• Strong analytical skills related to structural mechanics and design
• Experience with structural analysis and design software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to travel up to 5%
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of structural systems using various materials and tools
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information
• Support project execution, planning, and scheduling to meet deadlines
• Document design decisions and monitor progress
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to meet standards
• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to R&D efforts

• Engage in full project life cycle from concept to construction
