Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern in the Nuclear Power Group, with a target start date in summer 2027. You will join a project team and assist engineers in design, calculations, and drawings for new plants or modifications to existing systems and foundations.

Responsibilities include supporting steel and concrete design, reviewing drawings, and applying knowledge of materials and structural analysis while developing skills in software tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Coursework in steel and concrete design is preferred.
• Support engineering calculations, drawings, and reviews.
• Assist with structural analysis of steel frames and concrete members.
• Familiarity with MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of calculations, specs, and designs.
• Review structural design drawings and vendor drawings.
• Support team with analysis of steel frames, connections, and foundations.
