Priority Dispatch Corp. in San Antonio, TX, invites an Engineering Intern to support the Engineering team. The intern will review submittals, calculate loads, and perform structural analysis for beams, columns, and diaphragms, contributing to Construction Documents.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited program and coursework in structural analysis with steel or concrete design, with opportunities to visit job sites and work with Revit in BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of engineering first principles commensurate with your education level.
• Familiarity with various engineering materials
• Self-motivated and willing attitude
• Ability to effectively process and consider complex information
• Strong analytical and written/spoken communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review construction submittals for structural elements.
• Calculate structural loads (Wind, Seismic, Gravity) per Building Codes.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for beams, columns, diaphragms, and lateral systems
• Attend jobsite visits and gather information about buildings.
• Work in BIM using Revit and contribute to design standards.
• Assist with miscellaneous office tasks as needed.
