Job summary

DCI Engineers in Houston, TX is offering a Structural Engineering Intern position designed to give you hands-on exposure to real projects. You will support construction, perform Revit detailing, and assist with preliminary structural analysis under supervision.

You are pursuing a Civil, Structural, or Architectural engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and are in 3rd or 4th year or enrolled in a master's program.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.
• Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering degree in progress (ABET-accredited).
• 3rd or 4th-year undergrad or master's degree in progress.
• Collaborative and able to work independently or in a team.
• Interest in structural engineering design and learning new skills.

Responsibilities

• Construction support services: shop drawings or submittal review.
• Construction site visits to support ongoing projects.
• Revit detailing and drafting.
• Preliminary structural analysis and design on a variety of projects.
• Coordinate project details with engineers and BIM designers.
• Learn progressively through hands-on experience and mentorship.
