Job summary

Garver’s Buildings Team in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Structures Intern to support structural engineering projects while pursuing a degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis.

You will work under experienced professionals, learn about steel, concrete, masonry and wood systems, and gain hands-on experience in a consulting environment. This in-office internship develops technical and communication skills through mentoring and real project exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or an architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong desire to pursue a career in structural building systems engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced structural building design professionals and industry leaders.
• Learn about structural building systems and various building materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting structural engineering industry.
