Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Intern in San Antonio to support the structural team with calculations, analysis, and drafting across projects. You will assist with submittals, site visits, and observation reports under supervision as part of HDR's employee-owned culture.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in Civil/Architectural Engineering programs with strong problem-solving and communication skills, basic Office knowledge, and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Completed at least two years toward a Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Experience using Revit.
• Experience using structural analysis software.
• Internship experience in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support the structural team with engineering calculations, analysis, and drafting for a variety of projects
• Review construction submittals for conformance with project construction documents
• Participate in site visits and prepare site observation reports
• Perform other duties as needed
