Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited engineering program pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architectural/Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis.
• Successful completion of college coursework in Structural Analysis and either steel design or concrete design.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; self-motivated with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Review construction submittals for structural elements designed by Datum.
• Calculate structural loads (e.g., Wind Load, Seismic, Gravity, etc.) based on Building Codes.
• Perform Structural Analysis and Design Calculations for beams, columns, diaphragms, lateral systems and other components.
• Attend jobsite visits and assist with gathering information about buildings and construction in the field.
• Work in building information models using Revit and perform related office tasks as needed.
