Job summary

Stratus Team LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to support analysis, design, and rehabilitation of building systems. You will gain hands-on experience with structural materials, calculations, modeling tools, and construction documents under experienced mentors.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers on active projects, assisting with calculations, models, drawings, and reports while developing professional skills and industry knowledge in a team-oriented

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
• Basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, reports, and other project documentation.
• Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and related structural systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with design and construction teams.
