Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Buildings Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2027 in Ann Arbor, MI. You will gain hands-on experience on structural design and drawings for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings, from concept through construction, in a collaborative environment.

You will support the project team with modeling, documentation, and calculations while developing essential skills in REVIT Structure and engineering software.

Qualifications

• Requires current 3rd year standing in an accredited Civil/Architectural Engineering program (structures focus).
• Completion of steel and concrete design courses preferred, at least one required.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software; REVIT Structure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept to construction.
• Perform field reviews and document existing conditions on projects under construction.
• Become familiar with engineering plans and details and assist with modeling and hand calculations.
