Job summary

STV seeks a Structural Engineering Specialist for the Water Practice, based in Austin, Dallas, Houston or Oklahoma City. You will perform design and analysis, develop plans, provide construction drawings, and participate in the full project cycle from design through close-out.

Requirements include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and FE (EIT). Proficiency with STAAD.PRO, SAP2000, or RISA 3D and related tools is expected. Limited travel and drug/background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• FE exam (EIT) completed or in progress.
• Limited travel and field work required.
• Proficient with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or RISA 3D and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations per codes.
• Develop structural plans, design, and layout.
• Provide drawings for construction by drafters.
• Review shop drawings and perform field observations.
• Use engineering software to prepare design documents.
• Attend project meetings and communicate progress to team.
