STV, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineering Specialist to join the Water Practice from Austin, Dallas, Houston or Oklahoma City locations. You will perform structural design and analysis, develop plans, and produce drawings for construction.

You will participate in the full project cycle from design through construction close-out and interact with the team across high-profile projects. The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, FE exam (EIT), and proficiency with major structural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• FE exam (EIT) completed.
• Limited travel and field work required.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D).
• Eligible to work in the U.S. with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Develop structural plans, design, and layout.
• Provide drawings/sketches for construction drawings.
• Research design options and prepare load combinations.
• Review shop drawings and use CAE tools to prepare documents.
• Attend project meetings and perform field observations of construction progress.
• Communicate project progress and issues to the design team.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Calculate structural heights, weights, and concrete volumes.
• Support cost estimating with take-offs and quotes.
