Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineering Specialist to join the Water Practice in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Oklahoma City. You will perform structural design and analysis, develop plans, and prepare construction drawings for project teams.

Requirements include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, FE exam (EIT), and proficiency with STAAD.PRO, SAP2000 or RISA 3D, Autodesk Civil 3D, and MS Office. Limited travel and field work are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering.
FE exam (EIT) completed or in progress.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software listed.
Eligible to work in the U.S. with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform structural design and analysis calculations using applicable codes and standards.
Develop structural plans, designs, and layout for projects.
Provide drawings/sketches for construction drawings by drafters.
Review shop drawings and participate in project meetings.
Perform field activities, observe construction, and report progress.
Communicate progress and issues to the design team and coordinate tasks.
