Job summary

STV Group is seeking a Structural Engineering Specialist to support the Water Practice in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Oklahoma City. You will participate in the full project cycle, from design through construction close-out, applying codes and engineering tools to deliver high-quality structures.

The role requires FE/EIT, a Civil/Structural degree, and experience with FEA software such as STAAD.PRO, SAP2000 or RISA 3D. Travel and field work are anticipated in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• FE exam or EIT completed.
• Proficiency with finite element modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations per codes and standards.
• Develop structural plans, design and layout for construction.
• Provide drawings/sketches for inclusion in construction drawings by drafters.
• Review shop drawings and attend project meetings.
• Conduct field observations and report progress to the design team.
