Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc in Orlando is seeking a Structural Engineer with design experience in wood framing, masonry and concrete to support restoration and rehabilitation projects nationwide. The role includes evaluating existing buildings, preparing drawings, and coordinating repair designs for residential, commercial, and institutional structures.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, 4+ years of structural design, AutoCAD proficiency, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. required (Structural license appreciated).
• 4+ years of structural design experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency required.
• BIM proficiency appreciated.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (in/out of state and occasionally abroad).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing buildings and design repair solutions for residential, commercial and institutional projects.
• Perform load calculations and select structural materials.
• Prepare as-built drawings and drawings/specifications per codes.
• Conduct condition assessments and QA/QC on final products.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with clients and teams.
