Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer in South Florida. You will evaluate existing buildings and develop innovative solutions for complex structural challenges across residential, multi-family, and commercial projects with focus on damage assessment and repairs after fire, wind, flood, and impact events.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license is required; SE preferred.
• 15+ years of structural design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD/BIM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare as-built drawings for existing structures and assess conditions.
• Perform structural evaluations of existing and damaged buildings.
• Develop drawings/specifications per building codes and standards.
• Lead project teams and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with clients and business development in meetings.
• Produce technical deliverables: reports, bid documents, construction docs.
