Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. in Florida seeks a Senior Consultant - Structural Engineer to evaluate existing structures and lead forensic investigations for a variety of projects.

You will work with licensed engineers and specialists to deliver actionable insights that reduce risk and extend asset life. This senior role requires a Florida PE license (or ability to obtain within a month), 10+ years of structural experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD with BIM knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum).
• Active Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 1 month after hire.
• Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; BIM knowledge a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare as-built drawings from existing buildings.
• Evaluate structural performance and integrity of systems.
• Create drawings and specifications using codes and standards.
• Field assessment from ladders, lifts, scaffolds and rooftops.
• Lead investigations and condition assessments for repairs.
• Lead design for upgrades and restoration of buildings.
• Prepare concise, technically sound reports and recommendations.
• Lead project delivery for maintenance, upgrade, and restoration.
