Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the USA Southwest region to join our design team. You will support analysis and design of structures, collaborate with senior engineers, and help develop concept designs while growing your technical leadership within a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

The role emphasizes governing codes, coordination with disciplines, and delivering high-quality structural solutions for client projects in semiconductor, data centers, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design under supervision.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
• Apply wind and seismic provisions of the building code in design and analysis.
• Check own work and coordinate with peers and seniors for guidance.
• Own and manage assigned scope to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers/drafters.
