Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting seeks a Structural Engineer II to join the Facilities Engineering group in Minneapolis. The role focuses on design, analysis, and drawings development, with autonomy to lead projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The position requires an ABET-accredited degree, 2+ years of structural experience, and an EIT or ability to obtain it within six months. Office-based with potential client coordination and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 2+ years’ experience as a structural engineer.
• EIT required, or ability to obtain in 6 months.
• Track record of successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Layout and detail portions of projects under supervision of Engineer of Record.
• Provide CAD drawings or sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
• Research design options and document findings for Engineer of Record.
• Lead engineer on assigned projects and supervise other engineers.
