Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer II to join our Facilities Engineering group. This mid-level role handles project engineering with independent judgment and develops practical design solutions.

The position requires a Civil/Structural ABET-accredited degree, 2+ years’ experience, EIT or near-term certification, and proficiency in CAD/3D design tools. Salary range is $78,000–$94,000 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 2+ years of experience as a structural engineer.
• EIT required, or ability to obtain in 6 months.
• Familiarity with design codes such as ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations per governing codes.
• Layout and detail projects under supervision of Engineer of Record.
• Provide CAD drawings or sketches for Designers/Drafters.
• Review shop drawings and lead design/engineering efforts.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with architects and engineers.
