Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering seeks an Engineer to contribute to structural design for diverse projects. You will work under senior engineers, perform analysis, assist in design development, and support project delivery from concept through construction.

The role provides hands-on experience with technical design, site observations, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with growth opportunities and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Structural or Civil Engineering required.
• 1+ year internship with a structural engineering firm on mid to high-rise projects.
• Coursework in concrete, steel, wood and masonry design.
• Must pass basic engineering skills test.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis under supervision.
• Model building foundations and superstructures.
• Prepare structural drawings, reports and documentation.
• Conduct field observations and inspections.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for accuracy.
