Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Staff Engineer (EIT) to join our team. You will contribute to structural design for water resources projects including dams, fisheries facilities, bridges, and hydroelectric facilities.

The role requires collaboration with licensed engineers, preparation of design documents, and participation in construction phase duties. Travel up to 20% to project sites and client locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• FE exam taken and working towards PE licensure is a plus.
• 0-5+ years of structural design experience; water resources experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of design codes & standards; ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• Experience with structural analysis software and linear FEA modeling.

Responsibilities

• Establish project design criteria per codes and jurisdictional requirements.
• Review and organize historical project information including drawings and reports.
• Prepare design documentation reports and technical memos.
• Perform structural analyses, calculations, and use design software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand or CAD.
• Edit specifications and assist with the Project Manual.
• Support construction phase services including submittal reviews and site inspections.
