McMillen, Inc. seeks a Civil Staff Engineer (EIT) to support civil design for dams, bridges, water resources projects. Work under engineers and managers, applying design techniques and construction support to deliver federal, local, and private projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, a Master’s preferred, and 0–5 years of design experience; willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• 0–5 years of civil design experience is required; water resources-related experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and construction materials related to water resources projects.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate contract documents, plans, and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and gather relevant information and documentation.
• Perform standard computations and analyses.
• Complete basic design tasks.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Assist with tasks such as preparing permit applications, drawings, and written documents.
• Prepares portions of project documentation.
• Reviews and edits specifications.
• Conducts research and investigations.
• Observes construction activities and field operations.
